I'm told this is not supposed to be the norm, but, well, it is for now.
Though I finished my prior life-consuming project at work (after spending most of every day at the Court for two weeks), I am not back to normal. My colleagues are also being buried by projects assigned to them (long story) and as a result, one of their projects was reassigned to me. So, for the next three weeks, I will probably be spending a lot of time at the Court.
That is all. I miss the northern fall season.
Oh, lest I miscommunicate it, this is not something I begrudge my employer for. Sometimes, this is just what happens to a court. And with important issues like these, the work has to be meticulous, which takes time. Still, it's hard for me to adapt so far to this many hours.
ReplyDeleteI begrudge your employer for this.
ReplyDeleteIf your wife begrudges, who will speak for the ferrets? I will: begrudge begrudge begrudge - what a great word
ReplyDeleteI agree--good word.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know how you feel, Hanneke--sometimes I have to begrudge medical school for things.
Good luck with your project, Brian!
