Summer ferrets

The ferrets have been having some fun playtimes lately. We've been trying to use some new toys, like a water playground in the bathroom and some bubble wrap. We also occasionally take them outside, although we can't go out for too long because it is warm.

Making Videos

Brian has been improving his video editing skills by working on several projects. While he has been taping the performers, I have taken a few shots of him. It has been interesting to get out and see some local music acts.

A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit us for the weekend. Together, we drove to Cincinnati to see Peter, Anne, and Ginger. It was really great to see everyone and to see Peter and Anne's house in Cincinnati.

Mom and I, and Brian and Dad, also played tennis one of the days they were here.

Steve Gey

Last night I dreamt that I was back at FSU with many friends, though I didn't know why I was there in the dream. My bags were full of ashes. I awoke this morning to rain and thunder, and a text message that Steve Gey passed away in the early AM.

This is a strange world. Rest in peace, Steve, you've long since earned it.

Graduation Season

It's springtime here, which is high school graduation season. This year, both Brian and I have cousins who are graduating. We are too far away to celebrate with my cousin in Florida. Lucky for us, Brian's cousin lives in Columbus, so we were able to attend a graduation party in his honor this evening.

The graduate (red tie) entertained us all with several songs. He usually plays drums, but it was a lot easier to get a clear photo when he played guitar for one song!

Spring Ferrets

I realize that I haven't posted in a while. Our lives haven't been very picturesque lately. I went to Florida and had my defense, but I didn't take many pictures. Still, I thought it would be nice to update the blog. So here are some pictures of the ferrets from the last month or so.
